Sahuaro Ranch was founded in 1886, by William Henry Bartlett, a native of Illinois. The ranch, located north of what eventually became the city of Glendale, Arizona, was rich in figs and other fruit orchards, vineyards, and fields of alfalfa.

Take Happy Valley Rd west (right) to I17
Take I17 south (left) to Peoria Ave (9 miles)
Take Peoria west (right) to 59th Ave. (4mi)
Take 59th Ave south (left) to Mountain view Rd. (1/2mi)
Take Mountain View Rd west (right) to the end where you will enter the parking area for the park.
